NATALI BOGHOSSIAN
Falcon Soprano | Opera Singer & Recitalist
Natali Boghossian is a distinguished Armenian Falcon soprano, opera singer, and recitalist, born in Germany. Renowned for her dark, powerful voice with remarkable agility and radiant high notes, she captivates audiences with her richly coloured timbre and commanding stage presence. Her wide vocal range and dramatic intensity allow her to shine in both mezzo-soprano and dramatic soprano roles, embodying the rare and compelling qualities of the Falcon soprano voice.
Her artistry has earned international acclaim for its emotional depth and vocal brilliance. In recognition of her expressive interpretation of Schubert, British author Maggie Gee praised her performance, writing in January 2021: “Loved the Schubert & what a voice.”
Natali’s artistry extends far beyond performance. She is also a skilled pianist and a librettist, crafting libretti for operas and music theatre works, including her own innovative pasticcio operas. Her performances across international stages - spanning operas, concerts, and recitals - reflect a profound dedication to every role she embodies.
Her vocal and artistic development has been shaped by intensive study with soprano Elena Vassilieva and masterclasses with legends such as David Gowland (Royal Opera House) and Christa Ludwig. Natali made her Parisian debut in 2018 with the International Association "Dimitri Chostakovich" and served for many years as the assistant coordinator of an international choir. Her musical journey began at the age of eleven as a church organist and singer, laying the foundation for her versatile musical expression.
Beyond the stage, Natali holds a PhD in English Language and Literature, founded a university department, and published a book with Cambridge Scholars. She previously conducted in-depth research on madness in contemporary opera at the University of Amsterdam, enriching her performances with psychological nuance and dramatic insight.
With her intercultural and literary background, Natali Boghossian brings intellectual depth and vocal brilliance to every performance, exploring original themes and introducing fresh repertoire. Her concerts are a testament to the fusion of artistic innovation and profound emotional connection.
Natali’s repertoire also includes a wide range of lieder, art songs, and cabaret music, featuring works by composers such as Schumann, Brahms Mahler, Wolf, Schoenberg, Menotti, Walton, Weill, Britten, Bernstein, Agoshian and Tchouhadjian.
